Arp 8 (NGC 497)

Arp 8 is a beautiful and complex spiral in a field full of tiny galaxies. While none of them are named in the familiar catalogs, NED indicates that there are over 100 galaxies within a 5 arc minute radius. Arp 8 is another of the Split Arm class. |
