Arp 329

Arp 329 is in the Galaxy chains class. Like most of the chains, it is also
a Hickson Compact Group, HCG 55. Starting at the N end, the designations
are 55D, 55E, 55A, 55C, and 55B. The entire group is also cataloged as UGC
6514. The only star within an arc minute of the chain is the one about 30"
N of the N end of the chain. All of the other starlike objects are
actually tiny galaxies.
