Arp 271 is in the Double Galaxies with Connected Arms class. Dr. Arp's Atlas note is "arms linked. Note bifurcation in arm of N spiral". The northern galaxy is NGC 5427 and the southern one is NGC 5426. This was the last image to complete my 338 Arps. It was a good ending since I find it one of the most beautiful. It was a tough night, however, because of very strong and gusty winds. I took 79 sub-exposures of Arp 271 and only 29 could be used because of the wind.
