the tail on arp 174 is extremely faint, just a barely detectable glow. this was the longest exposure in my initial set of images, 84 minutes, but has since been exceeded by other images.

arp 174 is in the class narrow counter-tails. the atlas note is "smaller
galaxy very condensed." in fact, except for a tiny bit of fuzz, it could
pass for a star. the galaxy near the bottom of the field is mitchell
anonymous 958+2846.
