Arp 145

Arp 145 is the last member of Dr. Arp's class Material Emanating from E
Galaxies. This seems to be another error, as this galaxy should clearly be
in the next class, Galaxies with Associated Rings. This is a really odd
object. I had not looked at the Atlas image when I started shooting it
and, as the subexposures began to appear on the screen, I was sure an
artifact from the bright star was falling right on the galaxy.
Fortunately, that was not correct -- the galaxy just looks like an artifact.
