Arp 138 is in the class Material Emanating from E Galaxies. I may be
missing the feature of interest but the long object pointing northeast looks
like an interacting edge-on spiral, not something emanating from the E.
The Atlas note is "absorption leads directly into E galaxy". The E is NGC
4015 while the companion is MCG+4-28-110. There are four more NGC galaxies
in the field, 4005 in the northwest corner on the diffraction spike, 4011 not
quite halfway from 4005 to the Arp, 4023 across the field to the east, slightly
south of 4011, and finally 4023 in the southeast corner.
